The Raum Aktueller Kunst shows from May 19th until July 24th works of Jun Yang.

In his video–, photo– and textinstallations Jun Yang talks about cultural identity, about questions of cultural affiliation possibilities to define preshaped rooms individually. The Raum Aktueller Kunst will show four works which were produced in 1998 and 1999.

The installation mouse invaded… consists of three monitors and a text-on-wall-installation. On the basis of a real story — the penetration of a mouse and of the police in the own house — questions about personal protection need and the estimation of different consequences of this violation are given.

BA006 — chicken with curryrice tries to meet the permanent change of culture on the basis of different traditions of eating.

from… consists of a CD-player, two headphones and a batch of safty instruction cards, which are similar to those in an airplane. The work concerns of cultural-caused greeting-rituals, of recognition features of ethnic affiliation and of the slowly dissolution of this ordersystems.

The video-installation from salariiman to superman shows a cut and a revision of his performance, in which he discusses the leading theme of his work on the basis of biographic events.
