Werner Feiersinger

Reference to the greats of modernist architecture and the formal language of minimal art provides the starting point for the artistic work of Werner Feiersinger. The sculptor and photographer is inspired in particular by the discontinuities and contradictions of these movements. As source material for his works Feiersinger frequently uses everyday objects, whose immediate recognisability is obscured. This openness gives rise to new interpretations: objects that appear to have a function often turn out to be free from specific contexts.
